Desperately SeekingThe BWCB encourages players of all Wind Band instruments to join us but to balance our band we are 'desperately seeking' players of grade 3 and above who play Bassoon, Bass Clarinet, Baritone Saxophone, Euphonium, Trombone, French Horn, Tuba and Percussion. If you play one of these instruments but are a bit rusty please read about our new group below. New Group Starting Wednesday 22nd April 2009If you are a wind instrument player but are a bit daunted about joining the large existing band, our new venture might be just what you are looking for. Due to the success and ever expansion of the BWCB, we are planning a new, smaller, group to play at the same time as the current band. The new group will cover some of the same repertoire as the existing band, so that we can come together to perform from time to time as the 'Biggest Wind Band You Have Ever Heard', and the rest of the repertoire will also be on the less demanding side of things (US Band Grade System 2-3, UK grading 4ish-6). The first rehearsal for this new group will be Wednesday 22nd April 2009 at the Open learning Centre, Rectory Lane, Bracknell. The start time will be 8pm (when new group and main band jointly warm up before separating out into two rooms). Are You Interested In Finding Out More?We welcome all new players and, as there is a wide range of musical abilities, we offer tremendous support within the band to help each other along . We strongly encourage anyone interested to come along to a rehearsal and have a chat. Please contact us before hand either by phone 01344 457427 at the Open learning Centre Bracknell or email so that we can look out for you.
